The biggest update with the Toyota Vios is its modernized exterior. It has shifted to 3-tier LED headlights for all variants, while its high-end variants are also equipped with LED taillights. Its new front grille closely resembles a taller version of the Toyota Corolla Altis grille, which extends up to the headlight. Its new bumper also complements the overall look.

For the most part, the interior of the Vios has not changed much. In fact, it remains the same for most variants. However, Toyota enhanced some features like smart entry and push to start button in the G variant. The G CVT variants also come with new drive modes, the Eco Mode for fuel efficiency and the Sport Mode for peak performance.

Toyota puts premium on safety for any of its models. The Toyota Vios is equipped with 3 SRS airbags for the lower end variants and goes up to 7 SRS airbags for the higher end variants. It is also equipped with Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD). Among other notable safety features are brake assist, vehicle stability control, and hill-start assist control. The G variant also comes with a rear camera by default.

Toyota Vios has always been one of the affordable cars in the market not just to buy, but to own. The basic variant is powered by a 1.3-liter engine with a 5-speed manual transmission that delivers a 98hp/123Nm output. The top-of-the-line variant, on the other hand, runs on a 1.5-liter engine with CVT and delivers a 106hp/140Nm output.
